1 Peter 5:2 - 11 (KJV) 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

This is a great passage of promise!

Sandra,
You can tell her that I am praying for she and Randy. They had started a wonderful work there in Tampa and I would hate to see it fold. It is the devil's business to tear up families, especially ministry families. I am also praying for the church and direction for it.
Blessings & Prayers, Rhoni

The Bible says, We are tempted when we are drawn away of our own lusts and enticed. I think they are responsibile for their actions. I do know though that the devil uses every opportunity he sees to trip us up. I hope that we who are spiritual can restore them into fellowship and back on the right track in their ministry.
Blessings, Rhoni

Many generations of Apostolics have been caught in the poverty cycle, living off the government, refusing good paying jobs, so worried about the rapture that they have neglected to educate themselves or their children. Having enough, taking care of the basic needs of the family [food, clothing & shelter] is something that even Christ promoted when he called men of God and ministry to take care of their families. He thought so much of this that he said those that don't are worse than thieves and infidels.
There is a scripture that for years I didn't understand then meaning but I understand now through watching it happen: The love of money is the root of all evil. This statement really isn't about the rich. It is about the poor that want others to think they are rich. They live beyond their means, dress beyond their means, spend every dime on things that do not satisfy and have a sense of entitlement. The world, relatives, friends owe them something and they hoard up every ill-gotten gain, and poor-mouth until their needs get met by others. They make bills they have no intention of paying, and suck everyone dry around them.
When the Bible talks about the poor being with us always it is talking about multi-generations of families who live out the lifestyles they have been taught to live; not valuing education, having no work ethics, living for the future world by neglecting their responsibilites to their lives and families in this world. Living like vagabonds and having haughty spirits thinking they are so much better than others because they give every dime to the church, and every waking hour to doing church work, to the neglect of relaionships, and responsibility for their families, and even to themselves.
I have seen this played out time and again. And then to brag on this forum that we are not like Paula and Randy White who have everything and get caught up in things...lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life. We fool ourselves don't we?
Something to chew on, and think about.

Rhoni, it doesn't matter whether you agree with me or not. Jesus rejected the world's riches, Paul rejected the world's riches, there is the story of the early church members selling everything they had to give to the church, the list goes on. I don't have a problem with someone who has money being saved, but at the same time, I do not think it is right to reprimand Christians who choose to follow Christ's example and not chase after this world's riches.

This is not true. Please give scriptural reference to what your are saying.
Where does it say that Jesus rejected the world's riches? Where does it say that Paul rejected the world's riches? What Church members (and did they have church membership 2000 years ago?) were selling "everything they had to give to the church"?
You have been listening to too many Dottie Rambo songs and thinking that it is scripture!
I cannot find one scriptural reference where Jesus or Mary or Joseph rejected the GOLD and GIFTS at birth. Wonder why Jesus had to have a treasurer - one to hold the bag? Do you think he slept on the side of the road on the dirt?
READ THE BIBLE!
Just WHAT did Sister Paula do to you guys that you are so angry at her?
