I think your attitude towards your minor daughter's privacy is repulsive. But then again, you seem to think your minor daughter is to blame for what happened between and a man seven years her senior and in a position of power and authority.

When our son turned 18, we sat him down and talked with him, telling him that because he was now over the age of 18, he would need to be extra, extra careful about which girls he dated and what they did. Because if he dated someone who was 16 years old and even so much as kissed her good night, all she had to do was to get angry at him for breaking up with her, go to her parents and feed them a line and BINGO he is charged with statutory rape.

Now if our 18 year old knows this, certainly a 40+ year old PASTOR should be wiser than what he was.
