Hey Renda, someone PMed me about this.

DC and I were part of the ones included in the discussion back when the forum was starting to come together on NING.

I do know the reasons given at that time.

However, neither he nor I have anything to do with the ownership OR admin of the current AMF, so the reason for Alicea's rejection there would best be addressed by OP or CP.

I strongly suspect the actual reasons are the same however. :-)

My timeline is simple. As I recall, a day or two before I registered I what was initially informed about was described to me as a new forum owned by a sole owner was launched.

I registered on December 11 as per the email I shared in this thread.

I was told that day that I did not meet their requirements... Which seems in the least disingenuous since it appears admin had placed me on a Not Allowed list. The more accurate response would have been is we reserve the right to deny membership for any reason.

Without this knowledge, I made my post yesterday inquiring if anyone knew of any requirements being posted.

As Bro Griffin can attest to this may have been in the infancy when the ping forum was first introduced. He was apart of that "AMF". That forum didn't fly. Another AMF was started and he wasn't a part of it. That AMF is going great. It was before my involvement with the forum.

FTR we actually think of this as a two part forum. The old ping version is history and no more.

The new and improved version is the real deal.
