Medium rare is the only right way to eat any steak.
Are you giving the wrong answer on purpose?

Medium rare? Doest thou know not that the Lord thy God hath prohibited thineself from consuming blood???
I thought Medium well was kind of a trick answer, but it is really how I like em. Just a bit pink in the middle, but for crying out loud...COOKED!

Now THIS is an argument Jeff and I have had quite a few times. When we met, he ate all meat well done. *GASP* That was quite a shock to me, as my father always had his steaks rare, and I just thought all men were food barbarians. Jeff tried (unsuccessfully) to convince me that it was possibly against scripture to eat medium-rare steaks, but of course he lost. Now my dear husband eats his own steaks medium-well, but will occasionally take a bite off my plate if I disguise the pink enough with a bit of mashed potatoes or a mushroom.
Here's a hint: If it's not kosher meat, then it is technically "consuming blood", (biblically speaking) therefore unless you are going to go on a kosher diet--save it, except for the salt.

That's not too bad. But really, most steaks are the best medium rare, or at most medium. Beef sashimi is a good way to look at it.
Even I draw the line at rare...I do want the meat to LOOK cooked. Wow. My conservative Apostolic roots are really showing.

Rare meat to me tastes soggy. I like some texture in my stuff. I have this thing against salmonella poisoning too. It seems that Jeff and I know how to enjoy a good steak...cooked and seasoned properly instead of tasting like iron.
I kind of like it in this day of feminine rights, women voting, women running for VP and all...how that my wife still asks me how she likes her steak...I kind of like that.
