Yes, they do watch a little Disney, but its limited to only certain shows, because we aren't really fans of Disney. My oldest daughter spends most of her free time outside, but when she is watching TV, it's Animal Planet. Period. LOL!!!

We don't even get HBO (you have to specifically ADD it to your plan), and secondly, how can they get curious and visit inappropriate shows when we have them blocked? (By rating and content!!!) They're not allowed to watch movies without asking us first, so again...how would that happen? My kids don't stay up half the night while we're asleep in the bed watching whatever they want. We're the kind of parents who tuck our kids in a couple of hours before we go to bed, so they're all sound asleep before we ever turn in. They don't have TV's in their rooms, so....?

By the way, my husband and I don't watch smut, either, and we don't watch children's shows. I mean, what is the matter with folks that the idea of judicious viewing of media is incomprehensible? Are you convinced that I'm lying when I say I mostly watch HGTV? My husband hardly watches TV at all, and he doesn't like sports, so we don't have that to contend with. If he watches TV, it'll probably be Mythbusters, HGTV, Food Network or something similar.

What's hilarious about threads like these is that you're more focused on TV than my entire family is put together. My kids would rather be outside riding bikes, fishing in our creek, swimming, reading, drawing, on the computer, or any number of other things. TV is usually the last resort on rainy days or when I finally make them come in out of the heat. LOL!!! My husband rarely watches TV, and I usually have HGTV on all day, but I don't usually take the time to sit down and actually watch it, until about right now, while I'm typing this post.

No, everyone would not agree. I don't.

Wetting the appetite of the child? With books? So, would you suggest that in order to avoid the smutty books in the library that Ms. Brattified should simply not go to the library at all?

First of all, you do NOT know me nor where I have been in my life, so there is no way that anything would be obvious to you as to whether or not I could have issue with anything on the internet. You take much more liberty in your assumptions than what my gender affords you. I could very easily turn the tables on you and say that you are a man, so it is obvious that you would not know what a woman deals with. Additionally, I am married to a man, so I am not ignorant of what a man may struggle with. I am well aware that a man, despite what he may be TEMPTED to do, can use SELF-CONTROL and avoid giving into those temptations no matter what they may be or where they are when they are tempted with it. Temptation does not know gender.
