Re: Ventura, California Family Camp Meeting

Just Got back from Camp. What a week. Everything was covered in the preaching. Holiness, Evangelism, Apostolic Doctrine, Etc. We sang Old songs, New Songs. What a week. A great gathering of Men who have not changed for the times. Proverbs 24:21 .........mettle not with them that are given to change.

The men that sponsor this meeting and preach this meeting have changed absolutely nothing. The only change that has take place is by those who think you can reach a lost world by looking, acting, and singing like the world. I think the world is sitting there laughing at us try to do everything like they do it. Sorry Prax. that you did not get to hear everything you wanted to hear in 1 night. Please don't act like you were there to get fired up to reach the world, nobody here in their right mind thinks that was your purpose for coming to the meeting. You came so you could have something to talk about here on the forum. The title of the message that Prax. heard was "The end of the road, when there are no elders" Somebody asked why he consulted with this particular Elder about the skating rink. For 1 thing PP was the superintendent of the Western District at the time and it was, and still is, common for pastors to call their superintendent about particular things in their area. I know PW very well. He called this Elder to make sure his own spirit was right about this situation. You should of heard Wednesday night "The perpetual price of our Apostolic Heritage" Amazing message.

There were a few things missing at this camp.

1. Skirts, that show more than you are willing to look at.
2. Christian rock music. ( Did we show the world how to do that rock stuff, or did they show us?)
3. Jewelry ( ...Let it not be the wearing of gold... spoken by the same Peter that that preached Acts 2:38)
4. Plunging necklines
5. Mens hairstyles that are created and promoted by homosexuals.
6. Christian Rap.
To many things to mention.

I love the rules of this camp. Our young people have to see all this junk in the world. They shouldn't have to come to Camp meeting and cover their eyes. This camp is a safe place.

There was Good solid Holiness preaching. It kind of reminded me of a message I have on tape of AM from Alexandria. In the mid 90's, preaching against Television, ungodly clothing, Video, Movies, Etc. Not sure why he changed his mind.

............mettle not with them that are given to change.

Yes, you missed a truly great camp.

It's all cool im for camp rules but at for instance a youth fellowship or convention, I have brought sinners,
unsaved youth to try to in the church. you would have possibly seen them and thought that some
church had gone liberal when in fact, I was bringing a visitor.
there may be youth from a church where the kids are not really in church.
I don't think this can always be controlled. we've had kids go to YC who were 21 and doing their own thing.
there's a lot of different situations and when you get several thousands of youth togethere you are going to
likely see a little bit of everything. I think we have to be stronger then this.

Well in your 1st post, you managed to knock a preacher whom you are not worthy to carry his luggage, so I will ignore you from now on, thanks for the early tip as I don't have to read your junk to get your true message.

Is this post a joke?

If not, are you over 60 years old? Your Apostolic heritage had a beginning....in the 1940's. My Apostolic heritage goes way further back than that!

Every service is not necessarily an evangelistic service. Some servcies are designed to help and strengthen. However some were filled with the HGB.

You won't that at a Western District Camp Meeting either unless there are some sinners there. BtW, every year there are sinners receiving the H.G. at WD Camp Meeting and being baptized.

What did "he change his mind" about?
