Um ... I think you're ignoring why some don't invest in it ...

CP has made an excellent point ... Why contribute if the money is being earmarked to other causes .... other than what you were told it was for.

Lastly in 2005/2006 .... there wer "extra" funds provided by a well-known evangelist contributions from crusades he had... which were given to SEM ... that somehow became untouchable.

The last two conferences were supposed to be affordable org-based venues only to see the venues change pricing. This was atleast the case in 2006.

And you have ignored my posts about your expectations for an org division not being funded by all.

Your point that SEM has to be subsidized only highlights those who would say that this move is financially irresponsible ... yet the GB has put it on the table because of political pressures? Ironically, the board supports it but if I'm catching what you're saying it's set up to put the onus only on 10% of the churches in org ... which may be less since many of these churches have their funds handled by English speaking churches they belong to.

I'm just curious about the references to Youth Congress in this letter. Does that concern anybody? It sounds like they want to put controls on the Youth Congress. Is that setting the right tone for the future? Are they telling current generations "Forget about being current! Stay traditional!"?

Also, I don't think anyone ever answered my question as to the new defintion of a moderate in the UPC. Somone suggested that the old mods are the new cons. What is the new mod?

What went on last year that was so bad? I hear from people that were there that it was awesome.

Dan, I'm told the new guy is a company man. I don't know him personally, that's just what I'm told by some who do know him.

Your new mods will only push standards on the platform ... they will also be more comfortable and open about fellowshipping Trinnies and Charismatics.

What fellowship hath light with darkness?

There can be no fellowship between truth and error.

I'm simply stating the reality ... your new mods will still be Acts 2:38.
