An old buddy of mine who has led an interesting life said something to me the other day that I thought was comical.

He has been a bounty hunter, bail bondsman, ranch foreman, rodeo cowboy, etc. and has a long list of assault and battery charges from his young days.

He was telling me that a friend was asking him how long since he had taken a drink or been in a tussle, and he told him it had been around 10 years.

The fellow asked him, "What happened, did you get religion?"

He said, "No. not particularly...religion gets the credit for a lot of things old age is responsible for."

Coon ... who are you fooling? You're a year older than I am. Albeit, you're an old soul.

I just turned 38 day before yesterday, and I am feeling old.

Well okay ... you're 3 1/2 years older ... not Geritol popping territory yet.

Where have all the real men gone? Probably the same place that teenagers willing to work for things, wait for rewards, have a little discipline, and respect their elders have gone. Probably the same place that manners have gone. Maybe the same place that all of those socks that leave me with a single sock have gone.

I don't know where that is. But, I wish I did. I'd bring them all back!
