Committing adultery is sinning. Sexting and exchanging nude pics is a form of adultery - IMHO.

This was the situation at the LAST UPCI church I attended. I walked away when the pastor said that he had hurt no one and done no wrong, since there was no physical contact...HIS daddy called me personally and told me the 'whole story'- as HE knew it. It didn't make me feel any better about this man. I am SO done with self righteousness. It makes me nauseous.

Re: Prominent Memphis Area Pastor Resigns
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
( Matthew 5:28)
If a man/woman is exchanging nude pics and sexting....it is lust. They are looking at nude pictures ...an image of oneself.

Re: Prominent Memphis Area Pastor Resigns
Maybe a little public stoning of some of these sinners would be a Godly thing to do!! That'd teach them a little about the wrath of God!!
Here, let me hold your coats. (sarcasm)

Both! And very stupid, too!
I could never have any confidence in any man, let alone a pastor, who did this.

Sorry for what you have been through and seen and heard....Sin is Sin and there is really no good excuse for it being in the heart, but there it is found..action on that sin instead of repenting will reap it's own...
BUT..my advice is not to judge all UPCI Preachers by that yard stick. There are many more then not trying to hold onto Truth, preach it with love, and live a holy life before both God and Man...blessings to you...

Although I certainly understand what you are saying here, keep your eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ, and put your confidence in HIM...check everything out that is preached by learning the Word for yourself...no preacher is perfect, however, it is a goal to always say and preach that which is right according to scripture, not what man says, but what HE says..
