All of these things are such great things to hear you guys.

I am glad to see that the Bible studies are growing and your tribute to the Meeks family was great.

One of the changes that has occurred within me over the last few years is one where I am able to communicate with people who are different (sometimes vastly) than myself with a respect for who they are as people and where they are in their journey.

I see so much of that in your words about the Meeks. We are where we are. Each of us. And sometimes all people want is someone to simply see them as a person and to simply see them as they are and where they are.

God works out the details from there.

As I have said so many times over the decades...

"They don't care what you know until they know that you care"

The Hoover family consistently demonstrates a high level of spiritual maturity and it does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

God bless.

Thanks! That is kind of you. I agree with the "changes" you mentioned and view things much like you.

We are expecting God to continue amazing us.

Also, if anyone is interested, we have just updated our thehooverhouse.net website in preparation of the re-Airing - including some more funny pics!

I really enjoyed that episode of Wife Swap. I don't normally watch it, but I sure had to when I heard UPCers were on it! LOL. I have to say I was very impressed all around with the way the families interacted. Kristin really impacted me. I can't even explain it, but I was extremely impressed with her. I give you so much credit for doing this show. It's wonderful to hear the great things that have come from it! God bless.

Tribute

(We just recieved this from the Meeks family... Yes, I got tears in my eyes.)

Tribute to the Hoover Family

ABC’s Wife Swap was a lot of fun. People ask us all the time “would you do it again” our answer is always “absolutely”. The Hoover family has made a big impact on our family. We believe that God sent them into our lives.

We learned a lot of things while doing the show. In Texas, Tony and Kristin were sitting up late and drinking coffee, talking about rock music, singing praise and worship songs and studying the Bible. In Missouri Tish, and Steve where drinking coffee, talking about life and hoping that Tony and Kristin were getting along as well as they were. Tish really bonded with Emily, Grace and Alivia and talks to them by phone often.

Would the Hoover family be our friends if not for Wife Swap? Probably not, because people tend to stay close to those just like themselves. That is why this experience was so powerful. So many people judge on outward appearances and miss meeting some of the greatest people in the world. The Hoovers are great people. They are an excellent representation of what it means to be Christians and if more Christians were like them, God would be seen by non-believers in a positive light.

Although 3 Kisses is doing great and music will always be a big part of the Meeks family, there have definitely been some positive changes in our home. Since the swap we are attending a Bible study and Tish has been making home made pies.

This is really incredible.
There are those who preach and "correct", then there are those who love and show patience.
Guess which gets the results?

How utterly fantastic.

And the bolded portion... Wow... what a statement to see made about yourself. Humbling indeed.

Congratulations on this wonderful accolade. It is certainly all true.

Doesn't Tony Meeks just look like a preacher.

Kinda reminds me of NYLP a little bit.

Stephen--Is this picture for real, or are they posing for your benefit??? Have they really made a total turnaround in their lives? I find this amazing!!!
