Does this mean that you haven't prayed through?

The Lord's Prayer is the most basic way to pray. It is our guide. Once Jesus was asked by his disciples to teach them how to pray and he taught them. Everything in the prayer he taught them is therefore essential for our most basic prayer lives; otherwise, Jesus would not have included it.

Esaias tried to assert that not every element is necessary to pray: if we have no need for actual bread, then we don't need to pray for our daily bread, as if Jesus intended that petition to be only about bread and did not actually include anything in this most fundamental of prayers that would cover other needs for provision--as Christians have always understood this petition to involve. He only took that approach to try to score debate points.

So, no EB and Esaias, you don't know better than Jesus and don't have a greater insight into your spiritual condition than the Lord does. If He said to pray for forgiveness, then pray forgiveness!
Nice post, the brother is praying the Lord's prayer and is only focusing on those who he has issues against needing forgiveness? Coeston, forgive us or debts as we forgive others their debts Matthew 6:12. Do you even have the slightest idea what that entails? It means that you should forgive us as much as you want to be forgiven. Costeon can you explain Exodus 34:7? How was that possible?

Well at least you believe in one aspect of the Lord's teaching on prayer and forgiveness in Matt 6. That's progress.

You have grossly mischaracterized what I said, completely 180 degrees from what I said. Not cool, but informative.

When someone rejected the Law from Moses, they were put to death without mercy on the basis of the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think is deserved by the person who walks all over God’s Son, who acts as if the blood of the covenant that made us holy is just ordinary blood, and who insults the Spirit of grace?

Sounds like blaspheming the Holy Ghost.
