Bought this inside waist holster to carry my 9mm. Wow... Love it. Can even tuck my shirt in and you can't see it. Wore it yesterday and today. The longer I wear it the more comfortable it gets.

Back from the NRA convention... Lot's of demos but little actually for sale
Did pick up some gear including the Big-dot sights... just have to try them. Had to pass on Don's Eotec Holographic sight for the AR... Man has great taste anyway and seeing it myself I get why he wants one... but jeepers... there are limits! I hear there are some knock-offs... anybody have any experience with them?

Don't buy a knock off of the Eotech. Either spend the money for the real deal, or get something else.
If you are looking for an inexpensive but decent Red Dot, go with the Bushnell TRS-25.
But if you are SERIOUS about a red dot, spend the money for an Eotech or Aimpoint. Buy high, buy once; buy cheap, buy twice (or thrice, or four times, or...)
Optics are not the area to skimp. Stay away from cheap chinese optics like BSA or similar clones.

Re: Gun Talk/ Gun Show thread.
This is the EOTech I've been trying to get. I have it on my "Saved for Later" portion of my Amazon shopping cart. You are not going to find one for much cheaper than this.

Thanks for the info, hearing from someone who is not trying to sell me something really helps. I've been really mulling this over and with the kind of expense involved I don't want to make a mistake so this was super valuable information. I guess we'll just spring for the real deal... My calf sales have gone great so I can actually do it right now... I just didn't want to spend that kind of money and then find out that a knock-off would have done the job.

OK... My husband says no, that's the 512, he's looking for the EXPS-4 with magnifier and flip mount. But honestly he'd like any of them if he could have one at all... and we do have a budget... so he's going to check it out better and see if it will work for him.
