Re: DKB's Impassioned Plea For Iranian Branhamite?
This is not really on the subject but B. followers in Brazil rebaptize people that are already baptized in Jesus Name....and many say the revelation recieved by Prophet WB...I baptize you in Jesus Name...
Over the years I have debated with them...they have strange doctrines...and here in Brazil they are very divided and do not think we have the truth. I have known a few that come out of their doctrine but it is almost impossible to get that doctrine out of them...they may deny they follow the teachings of WB...but just ask them what they think about women...lol....

You just gotta BELIEVE THE SIGN ... SISTER.
Inherent in the doctrine is receiving the Message as given by Branham.

One of my Uncle's pastor's a Branhamite church and a large number of his congregation are former Amish who converted to "the message" followers. To this date I only know one person of his congregation who actually left the teachings of Branham.

I encourage any person to read through this Branham quote book compiled by a former Message believer:

Re: DKB's Impassioned Plea For Iranian Branhamite?
Sis. A:
I always find WB's views on women particularly shocking. Hatred coupled with ignorance is a dangerous thing.
My previous pastor held some views that carried over from mixing with WB; things that he said and did make a lot more sense in the light of Branhamite beliefs. (Not that they made sense at all, but I see where he got his ideas.)

Considering I think I know who your last pastor was how mixed up with WB was he?
Some WB quotes:
Quote:
Cutting Hair is Grounds for Divorce
And now, you [as women] say, "Brother Branham, I think if I got short hair, it makes me cool and everything like." That's right, but if you got long hair you'd be cooler. It'll take it all off your neck, and wrap it up and make it right. Why, you know what the Bible said, that a man has a right to put away his wife and get a divorce from her if she cuts her hair? If she cuts her hair, it shows she's living untrue to him. The Bible said so; I Corinthians 12, find out if it's not right. She that... A woman that cuts her hair dishonors her head, which is her husband. And if she's dishonorable, she should be divorced and got away from. That's right.

Quote:
Roots of Wm. Branham’s Attitude Towards Women
Now, I'm called a woman-hater; you know that, because I'm always kind of against women, but not against you sisters. I'm just against the way modern women act. That's right. Good women should be packed along.
But I can remember when my father's still up there running, I had to be out there with water and stuff, see young ladies that wasn't over seventeen, eighteen years old, up there with men my age now, drunk. And they'd have to sober them up and give them black coffee to get home to cook their husband's supper. Oh, something like that, I said, "I..." This was my remark then, "They're not worth a good clean bullet to kill them with it." That's right. And I hated women. That's right. And I just have to watch every move now, to keep from still thinking the same thing.

Quote:
Eve Caused the Fall (Contrary to Romans 5:17)
Like by the same means that the mother Eve corrupted the whole world to a physical death, the mother Eve... (Listen.) Mother Eve corrupted the whole human race by physical death. How? By rejecting the Word and accepting something almost like It. She caused all physical death because she left the true Word, and believed the true Word all but just a little bit. One little disagreement with the full Word of God caused every heartache, every death, and everything that's ever been on the earth. Eve done it, the mother of death. Now, you see where we're coming? The mother of death... Notice, she just disbelieved the Word.

I would say not "mixed up" it at all, but having a lot of contact as a young man, the mindset carried over anyway. PM incoming.

Thought you might enjoy this one:
Some Women Commit Adultery Unknowingly
Quote:
A woman said to me the other day, said, "But Brother Branham," said, "well, they don't make anything different from that." But they got sewing machines and goods, so there's no excuse. Jesus said, "If you..." Jesus said, "If you do that, you'll be guilty at the day of the judgment for committing adultery ." The Bible said, "Whosoever looketh upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart." And you dress like that and a sinner looks at you, he's going to answer at the day of judgment, and you're going to answer for presenting yourself that way to him. So you're going to be guilty of committing adultery whether you went through the act or not, because said, "Whosoever looketh," and you present yourself.

Re: DKB's Impassioned Plea For Iranian Branhamite?
I have never verified that he actually said this, but all the Branhamite girls I grew up with were not allowed to wear the color red. They said it was because WB taught that it was the color of a harlot. They also said that men could divorce their wives for wearing red. Like I said I've never verified that he taught that, but the people of this congregation believed he did and followed the doctrine.
