If someone is facing you and you tell them to turn around, do they continue facing you, or face away from you?
But I know what you mean. As I said above, people will make that statement and turn completely around, still facing the same direction when their intent is to go the opposite way.
Okay, for all you lofty, scientific, literal people I'll rephrase it so you can understand what I'm saying.
Heard completely changed how he preaches now. His horror stories are a thing of the past.

Actually, a COMPLETE turn-around IS a 360. A HALF turn-around would be a 180.
When preachers speak in that context, they are referring to people turning around, yet phrase it as doing a complete 360. LOL!
When we turn away from sin, we aren't doing a 360. That would be facing sin, would it not?
If my daughter is facing me and I want her to turn around, I tell her to turn around with the expectation that she'll be facing away from me when she stops. When I want her facing me again, I tell her to turn back around.
Now, are we confused yet? LOL!

Has nothing to do with direction you are facing, but full circle - - that's how I see it and have used that term before myself.
I'm still not sure how or why they apply that in the context that one should be turning away from sin. Then again, I'm lofty, scientific, and literal! LOL!

Totally!
I believe that anyone who teaches that a complete turn-around is a 360 is a wolf and in false doctrine.
If you're doing something wrong and you do a 360, you end up continuing to do wrong and now you're dizzy!

Like I said before, I think we confuse the term - - I know what you are saying about turning about face.

Right, and I used to use it too until someone pointed out to me what I was really saying. There are lots of misapplied phrases that we hear and are normal for people to say, but when one really thinks about it, it doesn't make sense.
Problem is, when you hear it so often, it's so common that we don't think about it...LOL!
Ok, I think I just confused myself....
