She did say this, I watched the interview twice. I think what prob happened is that she prob was tired or something and had brain gas and said africa was a nation during the debate prep. and then these guys are acting like she really didn't know. however, when given the opportunity to clear it up she said it in such a way that you still wondered if she knew that africa was a continent and not a nation. she just gives people stuff to crucify her with. she needs to think about what she's going to say ahead of time...it's called prep. and it's what she didn't do in the couric interview. she tries to do things off the cuff and she gets her foot stuck in her mouth. that might work in alaska, but not on the national stage when so many people are gunning for you. jmo.
Can you provide a quick link to this? I understood this was alleged hearsay by staffers.

I saw it on CNN yesterday afternoon. They may have a video of the interview on their website. You can check there.
CNN also reported that Palin got into a huge argument with the McCain people because she wanted to give a concession speech right after his. And then Fox reported that she's asking to campaign for the Georgia guy during their runoff election. Has a VP candidate EVER given a concession speech? Idk, it seems like she's letting her ambition get in the way of good judgement. The more I learn about her the less I like her. But, that's just me. I've been known to be snarky and opinionated.

Somebody else called it 'ranting' and some other not so nice things.
Thanks for the kudos.

I saw the video where SHE addressed and said it was a false charge. I believe her. I have no reason to believe the "anonymous sources".
The vast majority of the Republicans LOVE her... but then you are not Republican are you? Over 80% cite her as their choice to run in 2012.

Religious headcase? Is that your opinion of SP or what you think the rest of the world thinks of her?

In a paragraph, you just gave very sound reasoning for why Sarah Palin should have never been picked to run as McCain's VP. McCain knows it now but obviously it's too late.
She wasn't prepared to handle the news media throng that covers every Presidential election. She wasn't up to speed on domestic or international issues. She made the same mistakes that all of us who haven't had experience in dealing with those issues up close would make.
Mitt Romney was the right choice, IMO. I'm not saying I believe it would have changed the outcome, but it would have been a great closing argument on the economy in places like Ohio, Florida and Virginia. He would have appealed to the 10 or 15% of Independents that turned on John McCain in the end.

Throughout the election campaign and after the initial euphoria, in my opinion Sarah Palin has been exposed as a political and intellectual lightweight.
When she gives a speech, she sounds like she's lecturing a child.
But hey, she may have more in common with pentecostals than originally thought.
Her thinking that Africa was a country and not a continent reminds me of the testimony of a woman at Stone's Folly in Topeka, Kansas where the first outbreak of glossolalia took place in the 20th century.
The woman testified that she knew she was called to be a missionary to Africa since she spoke in the "language of Africa" - not knowing that there is no single "African" language.
So hey, maybe the pentecostals can rejoice in the African connection.
I do predict the GOP has learned some lessons from this election and I know the party wants to remain a viable force.
I predict they'll return to their roots and become a more socially moderate, fiscally conservative party.
They'd better if they don't want to go the way of the Whigs.
I also predict Sarah Palin will return to relative obscurity and Bobby Jindal will be the rising star and future hope of the Republican Party.
I don't agree with all of Jindal's platform but unlike Palin, he has substance.

Yep!!! I felt like I was reliving my Sesame Street days...
