Homosexuality is a perversion, a self-love so great that one is attracted to a mirror image of what they are rather than the opposite. It is a form of sexual narcissism.
This is why musicians are particularly vulnerable.

Well said, I was trying to explain that to my wife the other day, you said far better than I did.

I didn't read it anyplace. Just a personal opinion.

When I was younger, a prophet explained it that muscians always move people into a soulish realm that many can't discern that it's not spirit, but only soulish and thus no depth, no power, nothing other than sentimental feeling.
Word/Spirit cuts, divides, reveals, heals, and if received changes.

I've read some of this thread. Thank you both for explaining this so well. It makes all the difference!

Really? What about the self-serving song "We Are Pentecostals"?

I never cease to be amazed at the loathing some have for the church, and it's doctrines.
What a stretch...a thread on homosexuality becomes an attack on a song about the faith once delivered to the saints.
That song isn't one I want to sing all the time, but neither do I comprehend the disgust it seems to inspire in those who despise anything resembling conservative Apostolic values.
You have pretty well calibrated yourself as far as I am concerned...carry on.

Where do you get that? I have read a couple of books about homosexuality by those who study it, Tim LaHaye wrote a good one that was part of a required reading list in my college social studies course. He wrote homosexuals have self-hate. And many times are attracted to the opposite of themselves. The hairy guys want clean shaven--bald chest, ect. They desire to be like the other guy...but instead of seeking it out they sexualize it. I work with a very feminine gay man. He is attracted to military type guys. If we are together outside the office--lunch or a company event--he will break his neck looking at a guy in uniform. Point being he is not a military persona, so he is not attacted to a mirror image.

Man=man.
I don't care whether he is wearing a tutu or a uniform.

I am sorry...but that is a bunch of baloney. I am surpised that no muscians on the AFF have not spoken up. Sure the music involves the emotions, but how can you say it is not spiritual? That is silly. God touches people on a deep spiritual level thru music.
That fact that there is music in heaven around the throne of God is understandin enough to refute this...is heaven spirit? or is all soulish and in your mind?

Whoa there Amos.
Where is the loathing for the church in that post? You are reading more into that post than is there.
The discussion regarding that song was about the song not edifying the creator, but the creatures. It seemed like an appropriate question to me.
