I have always loved to go to the La Campmeetings. There is none other quite like it, IMO.

I grew up in Arkansas and we had a decent camp w/dorms, cabins, cafeteria and tabernacle.

It was used throughout the year for other functions such as mens and ladies retreats, youth camps and camp meetings.

Mrs LPW yes they use the campground year round as would any other district. Thats what they are for is for functions that happen throughout the year such as rallies and retreats and camps and campmeetings.

Yes we do, however our district campground was sold a few years back. It needed major upgrades/repairs and the vote was made to sell it.

We've been having "camp" at one of our churches and a large arena since that time. We are currently building a new Bible College Campus and the plans are to eventually put a large building on that campus for camps etc. That building will be a year round facility I believe.

When we did have our campground, it was only used during the summer months for campmeetings (FAmily, Children, Youth) because it was not an insulated year round building. And we have winter here!!!

One of the districts next to us, has a beautiful campground on a lake. But I do believe they also close up in the wintertime.

wow! I wish I could of heard this sermon and seen the whole thing actually. Do any of you know if they were be archiving the services? I would love to go back and view it

ahhh I see so they dont have heat!!!! Not cool! I understand now. Yes most campgrounds around these parts are used year round for certain things.
