Family and friends can love us and be there in the really hard and difficult times. But regardless of what comes or goes, Jesus is STILL the best thing that ever happened to me!!

He removes all doubt...speaks peace as no one else can...lifts the heart...heals the wounded and broken in spirit...truly Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me!!
Sis. Barb,

Truer words were never written! No doubt many on this forum could

testify to that truth! Thank you for these words of encouragement!

Blessings,

I don't normally do this, but I was checking out the various translations/interpretations of Proverbs 25:11...

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
KJV

Timely advice is as lovely as gold apples in a silver basket.
TLB

A word fitly spoken and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver.
AMP

An idea well-expressed is like a design of gold, set in silver.
Today's English Version

Words that are fitly spoken in due season...advice that is timely...ideas that are well expressed are like the beauty and freshness of an apple in precious silver.

Without question we can say, or should be able to say that it is the Word of God which directly ministers to our souls. While many things can and do feed our spirits, it is the Holy and inspired Scriptures which bring healing and strength, restoration and renewal, salvation and life.

However, it is in song that God will often deal with this heart as well, and the last two days have been no different.

These words have ministered to me like nothing else has of late...may they bless someone tonight...

Savior, lead me, lest I stray
Gently lead me all the way
I am safe when by Thy side
I would in Thy love abide

All I want you to do is Lead me
Lead me
Savior, lead me lest I stray
Gently down the stream of time
Lead me, Savior, all the way

God's divine will...

There is a saying that the will of God will not take you where the grace of God cannot keep you.

I am so glad to know that it is not just a religious catch-phrase but a fact.

God works and moves in a realm that many of us cannot fully comprehend, but one thing we can count on...it is always pure and right and holy and true.

The will of God will never lead us into deception.

The will of God will never lead us away from righteousness but always to righteousness.

The will of God is not some elusive dream...something that is always just out of our reach.

The will of God was set from the beginning of time.

That will called us out of darkness and into His marvelous Light.

It is a powerful thing. It has kept us when the flesh didn't want to be kept. In spite of circumstance and trial...in spite of our own self will, God's perfect and divine will has been that we would walk in the newness of life, holy and upright before Him.

Every experience, whether good or bad, has been for our making. And so it is that His will has a way of bringing us...leading us into the place where we can be productive and fulfill His plan.

All He asks is for a willing vessel...He's looking for a heart that desires to submit to His will where ever it make take us.

And so I say tonight, here am I...send me!!

Amen, Mother Falla...this song is burning in my inner beings tonight...

I want to be more like you, Jesus
I want to be more like you
I want to be a vessel you work through
I want to be more like you

Oh, I want to be a vessel you work through
I want to be more like you

There are people I admire, and even at this age and stage of my life have thought, "When I grow up, I want to be like them!!"

The reality of life is simply that one may try to imitate and emulate, but we can never truly be like anyone...nor should we desire to.

The One we should most desire to be like is Jesus Christ...in Him we find completeness...everything we need is in Him.

Thank God for the help and comfort there is in the Sanctuary!! In the midst of the storm, these words blessed me today...

Hallelujah, He's a prayer answering God
Hallelujah, He's a prayer answering God

Oh, when we prayed in Jesus
The answer always came

Hallelujah, He's a prayer answering God

And then I rejoiced with this...

Lord, you're worthy of my highest praise
Lord, you're worthy now and for always
Your goodness and your mercy causes me to say
Lord, you're worthy of my highest praise

Oh, your goodness and your mercy causes me to say
Lord, your worthy of my highest praise

Thank God for the Sanctuary!!!

Awesome, Sis. Barb!

We sing this part a little different:

When we prayed in Jesus Name,
then by faith the answer came,

Blessings,
