well, in all honesty, we are talking about someone (sandra) who performs in many very different forums than what you or I would be comfortable with.
This has been her long standing policy (and I am offering no judgement at all) thus for either of us to issue an opinion based on our own preferences instead of looking at this from her perspective, we would not be doing any service to her.
My answer to the Texas Bible College coral would be vastly different than my answer to Sandra.
Honestly from her perspective, i see both sides.
Frist, there is clearly a divide and I think she and I agree that this is shaky ground. Should one ever deny and essential part of who they are where their ministry is concerned?
second, as has been pointed out, these people have taken a hard stance against ALL OPs, including Jakes and Tommy Tenny. This might be a first step in building a bridge.
Again, I have to look at this from Sandra's perspective not my own.
this got lost in the fight...

Wow . . . kinda stirred up a firestorm up in here.
Don't mean to attack anyone personally. Personally, I wouldn't have accepted the invite with this string attached, but that's just me. I wouldn't appear on TBN either, again, just me. *grin*
I wonder how many of the people who are against Sandra for appearing at this event watch TBN programs or attend live tapings? Don't see how you could be for or neutral for one and against the other.
Again, not meaning to attack anyone. I wouldn't judge her for it; because I've supported UPC ministers going to other denomination events before, and who knows what conditions were made in their case.
If they love Jesus and call Him Lord and will not preach anything controversial, then they can't hurt your people. Why are we so afraid of those that we don't completely agree with? I just don't understand it.
Dan, you are right, she is entitled to her opinion even if that opinion causes her to call someone a liar. however, once that cat is out of the bag, lets go ahead and stand by the statement as is.
Last I checked though, calling someone a liar gets you in some amount of hot water with the sheriff and his crew. know what i mean?
Keeping an opinion about what you think someone would not equate to calling them a liar .... IT SMACKS OF BACKWOODS LOGIC.
