And, I dunno that I'm doing so well. I'm giving very serious though to quitting. I can't keep this up for years and years, and it will take that long to get a degree. I'm working very hard right now to make some plans, figure out how I can get a degree and not miss an entire span of my life, and my kids' lives, in the process. Life is far too precious for me to spend it exhausted and burned out.

Don't quit. You are partly resposible for my decision to go back to school. There are people that have given me inspiration to go back, and you are one of them. If you can do it with four kids, surely, I can with one! When you complete your task, then those nay sayers that "dis" you will be proved wrong.

Regarding the welfare system and other government programs--while I don't think it is as efficient as it should be at present (to say the least), and while I don't want my tax dollars to support people who are simply too lazy to work, I DO want there to be some assistance offered to people who need it. And I don't mind paying for it out of my taxes. I am all for tightening up, but eliminate it? No way. Those who use it will return the favor when they have jobs and start paying taxes.
Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."

I don't have family support either.
It's proven to be a case of being willing to take out a lot of loans (that will indeed need paid back later...ack) and creating, or finding, support networks.
It's also proving to be a case of making a lot of personal sacrifices. I don't regret them too much, but I am feeling burned out and tossed about a little right now. I am planning on taking a break this summer to see if I can recharge a bit. But that leaves me trying to figure out finances without financial aid...not so much fun.

I will be praying for you, I know you are under a heavy load. Thankfully I am on the other side, my daughter is in college now, and has been able get that fully funded, so I'm thinking that now I may try to go back and finish my education.
