They are building churches overseas too!

I'm the coffee bar lady at the Cordova church, so she's got me to clean up!

Sherri......

I'm sure you'll LOVE HK. It's one of the most if not the most fascinating, exciting cities in the world.

Be sure and check out some of the street markets while you're there, go for dimsum in one of the local restaurants, & be sure and visit Victoria Peak at night .... go up on the Tram and back down on the bus!

I'm looking forward to a return visit in June.

I haven't posted on here before - but I live in Hong Kong. I'm an Australian who moved here about a year ago - I'm here semi-permanently at the moment!! My husband was born here and we both have a strong desire to help out the Chinese church over here.

I totally love Hong Kong some of the things on my "must do" list are: the markets - like Ladies Market in Mongkok, Stanley market (my fav)... You MUST go to the waterfront promenade at Tsim Sha Tsui at 8pm one evening for the light show over Victoria harbour!! I love the Peak - the tram is great!! Causeway Bay is great for shopping and eating... you should try going to some of the really local places - the other day, I ate at the foodcourt in Wan Chai wet markets - it was a bit scary but the food was great and for US$2.50, you have a big bowl of soup, a "main course" and unlimited white rice!!

So if you want any info, or addresses of the best restaurants - or if you want to even meet (although I know this is my first post here - some people know me from other forums though, if you want a "character reference" ) - you can PM me on here, or email me through my profile!!

I hope you have a great time in Hong Kong - how long are you here for??

Oh and I just wanted to add - this is the BEST time of year to visit Hong Kong. It's cool, but not cold. AND everything is decorated for Christmas!! Hong Kong has awesome Christmas lights!! And the decorations in the malls are great too!!

We'll keep you guys in prayer! I have been invited to minister in China this coming year. I may just take them up on it. I'll keep you posted as to the particulars when they happen.

Be blessed!!!

Sherri,

I prayed for you yesterday. And now I'm adding you and Eddie to my list to pray for daily. Have a wonderful and productive time while you are in China. You have such a heart for people, I'm sure that God will use you no matter where you find yourself.

Bro Ma's

My husband's mum came to the Lord under the Holt's ministry (UPC missionaries, now retired) - but they have been close to the Ma's since they moved to Australia and all... The Ma's church didn't exist when my husband's family first left Hong Kong though...
