The singing was warm and Southern sounding. I enjoyed listening to the Bishop speak before the preaching about his wife and family. Also his kids shared some great stories about Mama Kilgore.
Ronnie Guidroz gave one of the best messages about the Cross I've heard come from Pentecost. I had to hear most of it from the foyer because Aaron was restless. I understand Guidroz was the first preacher out of Life Tabernacle.
Jabo Green and his wife attended ... JG greeted the congregants and spoke glowingly of his pastor.
I was hoping to meet ChosenByOne, Sister Falla and Esther. However, the service finished late and the kids had school the next day ... so we left right away.
A couple of questions ...
1. Jim Junior ... said something along the lines that the Bishop made a "false proclamation" during the morning service ... something about him saying it was his last sermon ever. Can anyone confirm this?
2. Ronnie Guidroz ... stated that Peter's point of conversion was at the Cross and not Pentecost. Does anyone agree or disagree w/ this statement?

Does conversion equal salvation? Or might the idea of conversion stem from the idea of Repentance?
And then at Petecost he completes the work of Grace....
I am not sure with the book by Thomas Fudge that I am reading...

My husband and I were priviledged to be at the AM service at Life
Tabernacle Sunday. What a beautiful spirit we felt at this service!
Elder Bro. Kilgore was recognizing families and those who had been
there at Life Tabernacle through the years and at one point he made
mention of his personal doctor and asked him to come up to the platform
with him. After Bro. Kilgore acknowledged him, he wanted to say something.
He told how that several (seems like it was twelve) years ago that he visited
Life Tabernacle. On learning he was a doctor, Sis. Kilgore told him she wanted
him to check out her James the next day. He asked if he didn't have a doctor.
She said, "Yes, but he doesn't like him". She mentioned a few things that
concerned her about her husband and mentioned that he (Bro. Kilgore) was
going to be his pastor. He answered that he already had a pastor. She said,
"Yes, but you don't like him", You'll like this pastor". Later he went quite a
few places with Elder Bro. Kilgore. To church dedications, and other
functions, etc. The doctor was thankful for Bro. & Sis. Kilgore and Life
Tabernacle. He said Sis. Kilgore was never in a hurry for anything as long
as you could get to it tomorrow!!LOL! Can any of you imagine winning your
doctor to the Lord. God bless this family and Life Tabernacle, in Jesus Name!!
Blessings,
Falla39

Not there either. He made the statement at IMPACT, Columbia, MS., that it would be his last sermon in North America. He told the church that this past sunday am would be his last ever at LT. Jim simply saying it wouldn't be his last.

1. Was Peter "saved" before Pentecost in Acts chapter 2?
2. Who baptized Peter, and when? Does the Bible say?
3. Andrew was a disciple of John the Baptist before he began to follow Jesus. ( John 1:35-42). Does the Bible say he was rebaptized after he began to follow Jesus?

Peter's conversion could not have been at the cross because Jesus had not yet rose from the dead and therefore no power over sin and death. The full gospel is death, burial and resurection ( 1 Cor. 15:1-4) Nobody is converted until they born of the water and the Spirit.

I have been super busy here lately.
I meant to take the time to say how great it was to fellowship with Bro and Sis Falla and Bro and Sis Strange. Talked very briefly with Chosenone and missed him at lunch.
These are some very fine folks if you ever get a chance to meet them.
