Dear Brother,
It is evident that we are in sad, tumultuous times. The vote for the acceptance of T.V. (which, as we all know, is really what it was) seems to have been 'the straw that broke the camel's back' for many, many people. I am amazed at the deep, heart felt response from so many that cannot and will not go in that direction. This speaks well for the many that still really want to do what's right. As for the UPC, truly, God only knows what this vote has brought upon it. As far as I'm concerned, it is a heartbreaking tragedy of immense proportions. However, I do know that the UPC will always have within its ranks some of the greatest people in the world.
But, yes, there definitely is a meeting, an 'Apostolic Summit' that is going to take place, and where a different direction will be offered. It will convene Thursday night, Jan. 24th and all day & night Friday the 25th. It will be held at the Green Country Convention Center, Tulsa, OK. There will be an announcement sent to every licensed minister in the UPC.
The men at present who are directly involved in this formation are thus far are Johnny Godair, Kenny Godair, Floyd Odom, Crawford Coon, Nate Wilson and myself. We are resolved to go all the way and it seems that there is a host of others ready to do the same.
PLEASE believe me when I say that I AM NOT nor will I EVER be interested in another 'AMF' spirit and attitude. It has and has had many very good men in it, some of which are good friends, but too many within its ranks (not all, thank God) increasingly lent themselves to critical bombast until there is now basically nothing left.
God Bless,
You're a Good Man!
Hope to See You There,
LLB

I don't doubt it's real and I don't doubt they sincerely believe they are led by destiny to preserve the purity of the Apostolic message. But it is so predictable that the call goes out for a meeting to be assembled so that all the mistakes of the past can be re-inacted once again. Those who don't learn from the mistakes of the past are destined to repeat them. I don't hold much hope for a real revolution but just the formation of another "new cart" and the same old clumsy "oxen". Sooner or later the oxen will stumble again and then ....... well you know the inevitable results.

I thought they were not going to talk about the formation of a new organization.
At any point....there are a lot of assumptions in the email. The UPCI voted at the last GC that the organization would allow ministers to ADVERTISE or MINISTER on TV. LLB states it is an acceptance of TV. Funny, where is that in the bylaws? Did the bylaws change to allow TV? Or is he misrepresenting the actual vote to be something he would like it to be to be that straw that broke the camel's back?
The other question I have for LLB is what did the acceptance of the internet by the UPCI bring God to do on the UPCI?

Perhaps it caused some to be blind to their own inconsistencies...
