Initial loss of under 10% and then pretty much break even in less than 2 years. On the upswing within 5 years.

And other than that intial loss, I don't think television will have anything to do one way or the other with it. Unless of course, somebody hits a home run. You never know what's gonna happen during the course of the game. That's why they play the game.

Not sure where the 1% number came from.
I do know the UPC has toughend the requirements for license, therefore the 1% (if valid) may be through attrition.
Actually, I believe the UPC ministers is increasing in total numbers.
1% may leave for various reasons up to and including not paying dues, but at the end of the year I believe there is a net gain in licensed ministers.
Should not be too difficult to find out though.

I remember someone saying that the UPC was losing preachers. I just guessed at around 1%. It sounds reasonable. If there is a net gain per year of 1% then that changes any prediction by a positive 90.

I tend to agree with this. I really don't think there will be a long tern negative effect on the UPC.

If anything, I see the UPC growing over the next ten years. Not because there will be that many preachers on TV but because the organization will be perceived as being more liberal and inclusive. All I see are positive things within the young leadership of the organization with guys like Jeremy Foster and the ministers who took care of youth congress.
