I think you've stated that very well.
We want to be entertained
We want to be dazzled.
We see Rod Parsley, Jentezen Franklin, Joel Osteen and others on tv and we expect our local pastor (who has a family to support and raise and has a wife to please, and has church members demanding time and attention) to be able to have a new and perfect sermon two or three times a week.
We want to hear something new and different.
One time some one said,
"If it's new it's not true and if it's true it's not new."
