True, but how many of those "mega churches" made an impact like he did? Instead, our group chooses to blast anybody out of the water that doesn't believe quite like we do. We can sing, we can dance under the Spirit, but our soul reaching lacks not a thing or two, but a lot! At least Dr. Kennedy used his medium to focus on the evils that attack America and not, "OOO...didn't we have a good time at campmeeting"?

In my opinion, the focus shouldn't be on the pitfalls that those that came on television before us fell into, but the impact that this tool could have for the kingdom of God. Fear should not be a factor in our decision, but rather faith. I haven't heard anyone come forward with real, concrete solutions on reaching the hundreds of thousands of shut-ins. Why is this segment of our society less valuable than those we see everyday? What can reach those souls with the truth, so that they can be saved?

I brought these issues to this forum this evening, not only because of the example of Dr. Kennedy who never promoted the frivolous doctrines and lies that we have seen with other TV ministries, but to emphasize the stakes of not giving those men and women in our movement the chance to do what God has called them to do.

I don't believe for one second that everyone would be called to present the truth on television, but I do believe that some do feel the call. Why would this issue keep coming up time and time again? For those of you that have been called to ministry you know that you can't just file that away in the back of your mind and forget about the leading of the Lord. There have been plenty of examples for us to have as a witness of those that attempted to do just that it it lead them down a road of destruction and misery.

Again, as I stated in another comment. Early 20th century preachers preached against radios as evil. Yet, we see them accepted in our cars, homes and MP3 players! Bro.Urshan obviously missed God when he was the radio voice of the UPC! So, we can close our eyes to this medium and put down people like Dr.Kennedy or we can prepare ourselves to reach the lost with everything we can.

You made some very good points on your post above; however, we need to continue praying for those that "have a dog in the race", sorry CS I just love that dog in the race bit or was it hunt. I've been saying race for the last couple of weeks....hunt sounded more fitting. It was nice to have another person who had views and opinions that seemed very similar to mine and one that has not just been someone lurking ,but engaging others in smart, bibilical sound discussions here on AFF.
