Television is said to be a 'push' medium. Programs/commericals are push into peoples homes.

Internet is said to be a 'pull' medium, because you only allow into your computer what you want.

Company A pushes a product on TV into family Fs living room...they are so enticed by it that they are PULLED into Company A's local store and buy that product

One could say that most Pentecostal/Apostolic church services are conducted in just such an environment. The ability to create an "illusion" is very important. An illusion of harmony; an illusion that healings are taking place. Take away the showmanship and all we have in our services is a noisy Church of Christ gathering.

Just do something in the course of a sermon that gets the preacher off his stride- see how flustered he gets. Raise your hand and ask a question for example. Controlling the tempo and flow of the service is vital to creating the desired impact.

All arguments against TV can be directed right back the way we're already doing things. "Risk your integrity" on TV??? Who needs TV for that? You've been in district board meetings. The messy stuff that you are forced to have to clean up didn't come about because anyone was on TV.

And the integrity of the ministry Jesus Christ has already been risked over and over again, everytime someone gets up to speak in His name. His integrity has been disgraced countless times without a Television and He still seems to survive.
