My positive firsthand impressions are that he's sincere, zealous, a little over the top, people person(!!!!! to the max!!!!), charismatic, compassionate, good with young people and teenagers (because he's radical), and focused. He's likeable, goes out of his way to remember names and people, and preaches regularly about being good tippers.
I was at a conference with him last summer. I thought he did a great job. Lots of teenagers received the Holy Ghost, he's interesting to watch and listen to. Not the most profound guy, but simplicity has its merits. Sometimes its refreshing to hear a straightforward Gospel, with no intellectual twists. Reminds me of old-time campmeeting. And, despite his progressive methods, MM does remind me of an old-time campmeeting preacher.
My husband attended the soulwinner's bootcamp in FLA, and it totally changed his perspective!
Overall, I was impressed with him as a person. It's hard for me to find anything critical to say when a man is having such a positive impact on so many people, motivating them to be evangelistic.
