  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Wow! It only took him one year to blow things up and split the church???!!!!

This guy is a quick worker. Sounds like perhaps after 15 years as the second banana that he perhaps tried to move a little too quickly to change directions?

I think Delta Soundguy is gonna get himself in a heap of trouble with all this dirty laundry. Whatever side of a church split you're on, nothing is solved by blabbing it all over the place. And I second CC1's incredulity.

Hey hey hey, this is the wrong thread for this. I started a thread yesterday about the church thing. Didn't even realize I was answering questions that should have been on the other thread. CC1 and seguidordejesus, man thats a long name, should post on the other one. As far as blowing things up, that's a stretch. It's more like imploding started some time ago and he couldn't stop it from happening. Don't get testy, didn't you get the AFF memo.

LOL!!! I am not testy. I posted that for two reasons. One was to see how you would react and secondly because in my study of human behaviour over many years I see repeating patterns.

One of them is that many times men finally coming into their own as the "boss" or top dog after many years on the second rung of the ladder tend to be impatient to implement their vision of how things should be.

Many times this impatience causes great turmoil and grief.

The second part of this is that it seems in Pentecostal circles particularly people tend to resist change and need an abnormally long time to be brought around to either viewing things differently or doing things differently.

Many times a preacher who has taken years in his own mind to change views or approaches will suddenly hit a congregation with all of that change in a very short period of time and they can't make the trip.

Truthfully he did make changes that, by some, seemed extreme. For instance, starting church at 9:30 instead of 10:00 so everyone in the church could be in topic specific classes and letting the youth have a youth service in the gym on wednsday nights. I know, that's extreme. It boils down to nothing more than a power struggle and family relations.

I'm curious, what did your human behavior reader say about my reaction?
