lol, we get the same thing... the ones who seem miserable because they never have any time to themselves because of their kids are the ones that want us to have them... maybe they just want a larger pool of babysitters?

I also don't even mention any of my cool business trips or vacations to any of them because they seem to get annoyed by the fact that I am able to do things like that and they are not.

I think most are jealous that we are just about the only ones who don't own a mini-van.

And speaking of vacations, we are planning on spending three weeks in New Zealand next year as well as going to Vegas (again) for a convention this coming December. The only babysitters we need are for our "other" kids.... a couple of dogs and a bird.

You have been just "gaga" in love with your son. I have been watching that since he was born and I think it's great!

RW, before our little guy came along, I acutally told someone they just wanted me to be misrable like them! we very much enjoyed the 10 years of being together with no kids. After 2 and a half years of dirty diapers and like last night when my "potty trained" two year old wet the bed, I would not go back to pre-kid days for all the tea in china.

I also find the idea of having children embarrassing to me for some reason, cause everybody knows what you had to do to have them. lol

I have two... they came early in our marriage and we somewhat grew up with them and it's been great... We like the same music (for the most part) we are active with them and have learned much!!

and when I'm in my early 40's hopefully both will be successful and out of the house...

I think once you get married then everyone pretty much feels confident in any assumption on their part concerning such activities.

This does remind me of a joke though...

A set of parents were trying to get their young child to stop sucking their thumb so they told them "If you such your thumb your belly will blow up like a balloon". This lying scare tactic worked and the child quit sucking their thumb.

But one day they were walking down the street in town and a very pregnant woman came strolling toward them. The child pointed their finger at the lady and exclaimed "I KNOW WHAT YOU'VE BEEN DOING"
