Economically speaking, you'd be better off buying a house in a rapidly declining housing market than to invest in a rig.

But, if you have money to burn, it doesn't matter at all.

Anyway, you are sure to have a lot of fun. I certainly envy you, brother.

By the way... I'm sorry you bought a Dodge...

Wait til your warranty ends. You'll be sorry... I was very sorry after mine ended... and I ended up putting $7000 more into its repairs over 4 years on top of my truck payments.

I'll be praying for y'all!

Here's for believing that your Dodge Ram Tough Pick'em Up Truck will give you years of faithful service beyond any reasonable expectation and that, when all is said and done and the truck is something you used to have, you are able to look back on it and say "It was a blessing and not a curse"

Interestingly enough... and as odd as it may sound... I would dare say that in the last 2 months or so the Lord has been healing our cars.

I have an old Lincoln Town car that sat for 3 months while I was off every weekend preaching in Arkansas earlier this year. It wouldn't start when we settled back home.

My wife heard someones conversation and decided to try what they were talking about. It worked.

Last year we had Freon put in my wifes car and it was gone in 24 hours. A few months ago they put Freon in it to see where the problem is... it is still running great...

My wifes front drivers window had stopped rolling up. It just started rolling up and down again.

Our new van had the cruise control quit working. It is warranty so I was going to get it fixed... for free... It started working the other day and has never missed a lick.

It's all kind of amazing.

but fun...
And how. Let the fun begin . . . because you bought a Dodge!

(So long as fun is quantified in hours and dollars spent at Dodge dealership service centers.)

What an Adventure!!
Adventure sounds much more romantic at the beginning, doesn't it?

Since you bought a Dodge, and you like internet forums, and you're going to need help with your Dodge, I recommend you check out the TurboDieselRegister.

You can learn about and correct the weaknesses of your Dodge. It's much better to do it on your schedule instead of on the side of the highway.

If you want to hop it up, your engine can make more power, and more easily, than Ford or Chevy. It's a very stout engine. It's a beautiful engine. It's a wonderful engine. Too bad you don't get to ride around on the engine. You have to ride around in the truck. Too bad . . . Because you bought a Dodge!

But seriously, the transmissions are notoriously weak. You should look into this before you set out for a long trip.

Note: The above satire is in no way reflective of the actual performance of Dodge trucks or the author's opinions of motor vehicles. These opinions are not necessarily those of the Apostolic Friends Forum owners, management, staff, or internet server. Apostolic Friends Forum claims no responsibility for the opinions contained in this post, nor for the performance, service, reliability, appearance, or longevity of Randy's Dodge truck, since he should have bought a Ford.
