I am not familiar with the MIO but will check it out - thanks!

Anyone else?? I would think there are many GPS users on this forum...

My Trailblazer has a factory installed one in it. It can be handy sometimes.

My husband got me a Garmin GPS for Christmas (from Costcos). It was easy enough for me to figure out without reading the book.

It speaks as I drive and has the map to follow. It will recalculate the route if I hit detour. It let's me know what is in the area as far as shopping, eating, transportation, hotels, etc.

It saves me huge amounts of time now that I can't get too lost; and even if I do miss a turn it will simply recalculate.

I even found a faster way to the court house using it that I had not realized for many years! It has also been great for traveling out of state.

I would give it 10 stars out of 10 stars for its usefullness and functionality. Its a BUY NOW product. (Even if they are going to be much less money in the future as everyone catches on).

THank You! That is the second good review I have for the Garmin. We have Sams Club - wonder if they got it. - Or I will check Costcos Online

Now, does anyone have a TomTom?

I wanting a GPS myself later this year. I want it to have Blue Tooth so I can use my cellphone hands free.

Hopefully prices will go down this fall!

The blue tooth is becoming standard I think - can't imagine I'll ever use it though.

We've had OnStar in our car for a few years, of the type where you call in to get directions from a human (who pretty much reads it from a computer, I guess). They know where you are from a GPS, but we don't see a map. The directions can be "interesting". We got directions to the Springfield airport once. They got us there, alright. But not the terminal. We ended up at the control tower parking lot!

My father just bought a Tom Tom - Its his new toy. He is 85 and loves electronics. He is still playing with it. It did not seem too hard to set up. He used it to take my mother to the beauty shop the other day!!!!! I think he bought the GXL model.
