Re: Meal prepping for the week
That eating raw eggs separates the men from the boys.
I haven’t arrived just yet.

Re: Meal prepping for the week
Giving it a go at these meal prep lunches. Quite a bit cheaper than eating out and much healthier.
I’m w Bro Benincasa on a good pile of eggs and bacon(wife buys Turkey bacon so I gotta just deal w it) for breakfast. Maybe some oatmeal or a slice of toast.
My wife usually does a big pan of keesh and I work on that sometimes for breakfast throughout the week.

Re: Meal prepping for the week
Have a freezer full of deer meat, my sons helped me stack them up during season this year, we were pretty fortunate.
Butchering a steer once a year too, every April.
We usually work on that for the dinners. But we did make deermeat breakfast sausages this year and they’re awesome.

To eat, turn the jar upside down and shake to disperse the dressing. There's a large variety of recipes on the internet to keep it interesting.
As for eggs, if you have an instant pot, it is a great way to boil eggs for the week. Once cooked and peeled, store in mason jars in fridge. They will be good for 7 days.

Re: Meal prepping for the week
Bro Benincasa, is your bacon grocery store bought or do you butcher/buy at a butcher?

Butcher, and no sugar in the bacon. I don't do sugar.

Re: Meal prepping for the week
Easy economy meal prep:
make a large batch of ground turkey meatloaf
After it cools down sliced it up and freeze the slices using pieces of parchment paper between the slices.
Pull out what you need during the week to make sandwiches, or diced up for tacos, spaghetti, chilli, soup, ect.
Buy a large package of spring greens to pair with onions, tomatoes, and peppers for side salads.
Make no cook refrigerator oatmeal the night before using oats, milk, and frozen blue berries, top with walnuts and chopped apples.
Buy frozen fruit and vegetables in bulk from Walmart, so much cheaper than fresh.
Slice up roasted meat rather than buying deli lunchmeat.

Brother, make your own bacon. Buy a slab of pork belly from Costco, Sams, or a local butcher shop. Cure it for 3-4 days with curing salt. After that, flavor it the way you like, I put corse pepper, salt (TX style) then drizzle honey if you don't do sugar, smoke it low and slow, then slice and fry. A LOT cheaper then buying it from anywhere else.

Re: Meal prepping for the week
What about bacon being high in sodium, (especially when eating a lot of it… as it relates to our health)?

Brother, are you meaning processed sugar? Or, are you talking about natural as well?
