Re: Reaching the Lost-Bible Studies
I’m just bitter. The guys in the chart had beards and I couldn’t have one.

Or rather than a Bible study itself, do you only go through the Bible a certain way…
Have a Bible study with them once a week, for six weeks, for example.
No doubt there are several methods…
What is your favorite, and why?

I do like "Into his Marvelous Light". I believe it is to the point yet, not so much in depth that you make them fall asleep.
I also believe like others have stated already, what works for some, doesn't work for others. We have a saying around here concerning bible studies and reaching the lost. "The lure I used yesterday fishing, may not work today." Meaning, if I used, "Into his Marvelous Light" with this couple, the next couple may not be interested in that, they may need to ask questions and you answer them. Some like a church type setting, around here in my area, people like home type setting. There is no "one answer fits all" when it comes to souls. You know your area, what works for your area, may not work in South Florida, follow the Spirit.

You can't grow a beard? They probably have a lotion to help with that.

I agree. Also, Into His Marvelous Light is participatory, visual, and gives them something they can take home to study. Afterwards, you can prepare studies to meet people's interests and concerns. But as people have pointed out, building relationships with people is the way to win and disciple. No flip charts lol.

Pentecostal men all over the world have beards, whether they like them or not Hence the reason they have to shave every day.
