I don’t care what trump does or doesn’t do in his private life I just care when his action as a president go toward Christian values...Example to that point I couldn’t care less if he has been pro choice all his life ( not saying he was just an example ) but his actions as a president are pro life then I’m happy...

I'm no lawyer but for better or worse the interstate commerce law has been used to give the federal government vast power in areas of commerce.

Personally, I think Trump realized that whatever he would do would be spun as making things worse by the MSM and so he backed off issuing more than guidance. Probably was a smart play so close to the election.

That's setting a dangerous precedent. If he can withhold money for them not doing X. Then the next guy could withhold money to your state for doing X.

This is why I've long considered it a terrible idea for the states to be getting funding from the federal government, especially when that funding first comes from the people of the various states. It's nothing more than wealth redistribution.
I could agree. Progressives implemented those policies and now want nothing more than to hold that over our heads and use those policies to cudgel everyone else into submission. Because they don't actually have a firm position on anything, except win the argument.

The government should be taking no more than it needs to operate, not taking and redistributing it to the various states as they see fit.
Define redistributing. It gets a bit murkier when you get into the nitty gritty details.

I used to get angry at politicians who pandered. I've came to the realization that such is how the game is played be it for better or worse. If he's pandering to that then there is a good chance he will back it up or at least try to make it appear he has tried to.

I don’t think it is wrong to do so to states that do not respect the constitution of this country.

What do you mean, "define redistributing"? It's pretty straightforward to me. They take from one group (forcibly, no less) and give it to another. I don't understand what you're asking of me.

Exactly.

What a president does for the nation is what counts in reference to whether or not Christians should want him in. What he does as a person, that he does not impose anything on the nation, matters not. What has any leader's personal life got to do with what policies that he puts into effect? It's the things that affect people in the nation and believers that we need to be concerned with. Not the things that he must stand before God for his own life's sake.

Why is that so hard to understand?

Seguidordejesus, you responded to this post that I quoted and disagreed with the reasoning, and said accused another similar post of false dichotomy. Please explain your reasoning with more than these responses to hometown guy's posts in which you do not present your logic.
