Re: What Are You Doing To "Covid" While At Home

I’ve been in my basement chemistry lab experimenting injections with covid 19 infected rats, I mean bats, using things I got from under the kitchen sink, along with more deadly things like what I was able to obtain through McDonald's drive through...looking to find my early retirement when I come up with the cure for this mess.

Ah, there you go. I salute you sir, you deserve a medal.
So, does your mom still bring you dinners downstairs?🤔

She used to quietly set in on the top step just inside the door...until the rats got a hold of her. Now I’m stuck with finning for myself.

Do you have Skip The Dishes where you are?🤔
My wife says we don't have Skip The Dishes here, even though we do. She asks me to wash
The dishes, and I say Skip The Dishes.😀
Women!🙄

No, I am not afraid of this "covid thing"! Fear is the lack of faith and I strive to live by faith. The fear that people are gripped with boils down to fearing death.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am confident that He will keep me and if He decides that my days on earth are over, then I'll look forward to the resurrection.

Re: What Are You Doing To "Covid" While At Home

Life has continued on here for us just the same. Thankful we live in a rural community and the grocery stores are fully stocked. I've got seeds started in my greenhouse, and planting season starts around the first of June. I've been busy making masks for the local hospital and nursing home. But it is sad to see many restaurants that have temporarily closed, and you wonder how all the little businesses are going to make out with the continued shutdowns.

Re: What Are You Doing To "Covid" While At Home

I live in a town of 15k people.
No positive covid tests yet. Many negative.
BUT, we are on lockdown in that only “deemed necessary” businesses are allowed to work, and everyone else is suppose to be staying at home.
I have a small business w one employee and we are still working about 3-4 days a week.
No more than 10 people in every place in town. I don’t get that because in my opinion it should be based on the square footage of the building.
Drive throughs at restaurants only allowed.
We’re gathering atleast once a week w different folks from our church, in our homes.
Under 10 at church bldg they’re doing one video on Sunday, and pastor doing another on Wednesday for a bible study.
Taking food to elderly n visiting once a week.
Building my garden fencing to keep the deer out. I’ll shoot them instead, if my freezer gets too empty
Trying to be patient, yet understand where our Lord is taking us, or if he is rezeroing His church on things, or what...

The haircut has been our issue as well. My wife cut the kids hair, myself don’t have that much left so I can go a little bit longer. Hopefully my barber will open by then.

Re: What Are You Doing To "Covid" While At Home

I began teleworking last Friday. Each week we rotate one day to be at the physical office. I love working from home. I didn't believe it was possible, due to small kids and a small apartment, but it's been good. I told my supervisor it's going to be hard going back full time to the office when this is over. The girls love that I'm able to take them outside during breaks and lunch.

A few friends have had issues with barbershops being closed. I'm follicly challenged so I haven't had to deal with that issue. I've been doing a close shave with the shears for over a decade now. Saves money and looks better than growing it out.

We have 5 year old twins and a 10 year old - all girls. They have been restless, though I have tried to get them out of the house on walks and have taken them to the church while I assist setting up or playing for the live streams. They roller skate, ride scooters or play on the small playground. I try to avoid taking them to stores, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

My 10 year old is doing school lessons online and is doing very well.

We video chat with my mom almost every evening and have connected with my brother and sisters and their kids from other states.
