Some figured lockdowns and quarantines were coming, so they better stock up before they can't access it. Then the herd started figuring out "Hey, folks are stocking up...." And decided they better do it too. Media reports TP being cleared out so better get it before it's gone. Then the herd stampede's to the COSTCO and the rest is history.
