Maybe one of the guards are Christian too.
Or he could get with the Chaplin of the Prison and fellowship.

Perhaps, but only during certain times of the day and only below a certain volume. What if he can't find any Christian radio stations?
Perhaps, but unlikely. He might be able to find another "Christian" as it is a larger facility, but once again it would only be limited exposure. Perhaps, in the mess hall or during any outside free-times.
Perhaps, but is not Apostolic in his message.

Go and learn what that meaneth.

Why don't you just tell us what you think it means?
I'm guessing it has something to do with the Gaithers.

David was a musician, the Prophet came to him, not David to the prophet when he sinned with Bathsheba.
Then he wrote a beautiful song which this musician [ME] has turned to for comfort, repentance and have prayed his song to Jesus.

Quote:
Psalm 51
1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
14Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
15O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
16For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
18Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Gaithers?
LOL!
Not at all.
I just think it is a reflection of the differing priorities of two men, both of whom started well, but who finished very differently.

So you would just say, "Make sure to read your Bible and pray?"
I suppose it would be fair to mention that this person is a new-convert who may not have an established pray life or really know alot about the Bible or how to study it.

As mentioned previously, no UPCI church is within range of this facility....

Ok Bro Coon thanks for the perspective from 2 men who had whatever they wanted at their finger-tips and what they chose.
I don't think it has any bearing on the situation at hand or the fact that music can be beneficial.

If that is all you can do I think God would understand but it would just be harder to be a christian without being fed and having good worship time. I would try to listen to preaching if at all posssible if not then - so your best and God will do the rest.

Is this a hypothetical?
I'm just saying that no matter the distance the Prison Ministry of the UPCI would surely find a minister who was willing to make the drive every so often. That surely wouldn't hurt.
