Re: Another HS Shooting... Sowing and Reaping

BUT, when we look at the current version of same exact article:

The gunman who killed 10 people at a Texas high school Friday made a “bloody mess” with guns and explosives, according to a new report.

“Officers inside encountered a bloody mess in the school,” a senior law enforcement official told the Houston Chronicle. “Evidently this guy threw pipe bombs all in there. We don’t know if any of them went off.”

Officials say shooting suspect Dimitrios Pagourtzis came armed to the school in Santa Fe — around 30 miles from Houston — with his dad’s shotgun and revolver.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Pagourtzis used a variety of weapons in his attack—an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, a pistol, a shotgun, and pipe bombs. It’s unclear if any of the explosives were detonated. The shooting is the worst in the United States since February. Abbott said the suspect used a shotgun and a revolver.

16 school shootings in 2018.
When are we going to secure our schools?

This wonderful reporter from KHOU in Houston verified and rebutted issues in the story...

Re: Another HS Shooting... Sowing and Reaping

Anyone have any idea how much school size or student/teacher ratio impacts the chances for a school shooting?

What? You think these things just happen because we live in a fallen world? That it has no connection to the wickedness, violence, and iniquity that we as a people drink down to the dregs. Our culture LOVES sin, free sex with no consequences and the willingness to ruthlessly murder millions of innocent children for the sake of convenience and lust. We love violence and death, we can't get enough gore and blood in our movies, TV shows, and video games. We celebrate homosexuality with parades in every major city that are filled with the sickest pervesions, and churches going with along with it by "marrying" them.

Shall I not punish them for these things? ’ says the Lord . ‘Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?’
Jeremiah 5:29 NKJV

We are given over to alcoholism and drug use, and rather than stop it, we legalize more and more because we love money more than our children. Even what Christianity we do have as a whole is largely overrun with idolatry. Our politicians are corrupt, our ministers are self seeking smooth talking dreamers, and nobody is bothered by any of it.

“An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?"
Jeremiah 5:30..-‬31

When these things happen, we ARE reaping what we sow by allowing our children to witness 50,000 simulated murders through entertainment by age 18. We are reaping what we sow by father's not leading their children in the home through prayer, the reading of scripture, and godly parenting. We are reaping what we sow by neglecting taking our families to church while we play golf, watch football, or simply do nothing on Sunday, while little Johnny loops death metal on his iPod for hours on end in his room. We are reaping what we sow by being self absorbed. Why should your kid care about anyone else when they've never seen their parents help someone, feed someone, or sacrifice time or goods for another? We reap what we sow by loving sin.

And if you say in your heart, “Why have these things come upon me?” For the greatness of your iniquity Your skirts have been uncovered, Your heels made bare.
Jeremiah 13:22 NKJV

Why do you cry about your affliction? Your sorrow is incurable. Because of the multitude of your iniquities, Because your sins have increased, I have done these things to you.
Jeremiah 30:15 NKJV

Re: Another HS Shooting... Sowing and Reaping

yes, but these are children, and it's not likely we are going to get them all in a home school anytime soon. Let's secure the perimeters and have metal detectors at the front gates.

I did a fairly deep dive through Wikipedia and most all of the high school shootings I found with 4 or more deaths were at what I would consider larger schools of 1000+ students.

Many of the "school shootings" I ignored were lover's quarrels, accidental discharges, someone shooting in the parking lot after school hours etc.
