Some churches have a 501c3 status to obtain grants to run charitable programs and assist with community outreach.

Most don't understand IRS law. It's intentionally complicated and so many Pastors opt to become 501c3 thinking that's the only way to be tax exempt.

That doesn't make these Pastors/churches evil or compromisers or yoked with the devil.

There just needs to be more diligence and more legal help and advice available for Pastors who are starting churches.

A legalist adheres to Mosaic law or imposed extra biblical traditions of man.

The Bible expressly teaches that Christians should pay taxes, and that friendship with the world is enmity against God. Incorporation with the satanic governments of this world comes with various strings attached, it's making covenant with Caesar.
