Re: Obama wiretapped the Trump campaign

If it was just Trump tweeting it, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in it. However, with Levin laying out the case (and no one can lay the charge that he's a Trump supporter), I tend to put a little more credence into the claim.

What is the evidence that Trump was wiretapped?

Have you read the Mark Levin article or seen any of the interviews?

Yes. And not even he presented any evidence.

Re: Obama wiretapped the Trump campaign

Good story on this here.

snippet
Perhaps the first sign came Saturday when, as WND reported, former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau responded cautiously to President Trump’s tweeted accusation that the Obama administration had spied on his campaign and wiretapped him.

Favreau warned fellow Democrats in his own tweet: “I’d be careful about reporting that Obama said there was no wiretapping. Statement just said that neither he nor the WH (White House) ordered it.”

As a Canadian it's unbelievable to watch people from sides of the hyper-partisan nation -- USA -- defend their side no matter what, and both sides do it.

Hey, would you consider yourself a democratic socialist? You'll get no criticism from me. I have Christian friends and family in Canada (Ontario). The little lady has Christian friends in the UK, Belgium, and the Netherlands. They are democratic socialists and they find it an oddity that American Christians have married American style capitalism to the Christian faith in such a way that one's faith is questioned if one isn't a laissez faire capitalist.

Re: Obama wiretapped the Trump campaign

Today was the deadline for the Dept of Justice to present proof of Trump's claims that obama wiretapped his phones.

Earlier today, Sean Spicer walked back Trump's claims by presenting an alternative definition to "wiretapping," saying it meant "broadly, surveillance and other activities." I guess when Trump tweeted, what was it - three or four tweets, about his "PHONES" being tapped, he was really talking about the microwave in the Trump Tower which magically transforms into a camera.

And speaking of microwaves transforming into cameras ... ah, Kellyanne Conway. I thought Trump surrounded himself with the best minds. Obviously not the case with her.

Yesterday, Conway gave an interview to the Bergen County Record, that's North Jersey - I looked it up since it wasn't the typical Sunday interview a Sr. WH staffer would give. Unfortunately for Conway, there's still the interwebs.

Q: Do you know whether Trump Tower was wiretapped?"
A: What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other, now unfortunately. There was an article this week that talked about how you can surveil someone through their phones, through their, certainly through their television sets — any number of ways. And microwaves that turn into cameras, etc."

It appears, from the interviews and statements from the WH, that there is no actual evidence this happened. From the statements, it appears Trump made an accusation and hoped a resulting investigation would find something which would prove him right.

This is wrong. And it's not the first time Trump has used this tactic. During the primary, Trump routinely made up false information and spread lies about his opponents. What Trump did is selfish and shameful. And it wasted a lot of time when there are real matters which need to be addressed.

If the WH or DOJ has proof, present it. Don't do what Spicer and Conway have done -- claim they'll wait to see what the investigation turns up. Present the evidence or stop making accusations.
