We are lauded with accusations of colonialism as if we invented the practice when all we were doing is what each and every other culture has practiced...the only difference is that when we colonized for the most part we brought advancements of technology and infostructure. Life expectancy shot up as more advanced medical care was introduced and law and order was enforced. "But but but that's typical arrogant white colonialism...how dare you think that your way is better than theirs!!!"

Sure...let's go with that. Would you have rather lived in India BEFORE or AFTER the British arrived and started taking out the murderous Thuggees that were so prevalent in that culture? How about before they showed up and said, "No sorry...this practice of burning widows alive simply will not do and if you continue this practice it just so happens that in BRITISH culture we execute those who do so."

A friend of a friends friend was one of the people who confronted the protesters. His motto is morals over politics. These people dont care about someone's right to peacefully assemble. The protesters had a permit. I bet if the whites started the fight at a La Raza gathering they would get hate crimes and accusations of infringing on someone's civil liberties.

Wanting separation isn't racist...its in group preference. Here's what's funny. If whites move out of a neighborhood its called "white flight" and it's ooked down upon. If whites move INTO a neighborhood its called "Gentrification" and that's looked down on as well.

People want to be around others that share things they hold in common such as traditions and culture. It's human nature. Thats why there are famous neighborhoods that are separated by race and nationality like the Chinatown's and Little Italy's.
