Red face

This is the same week as Minnesota Camp Meeting...and this is a big deal since it was ALWAYS the last week of July; but it was so HOT last year they changed the time as a survival tactic. They can't add A/C due to insufficient electrical power/service. The camp is on Grey Cloud Island and there are a few homes, maybe a farm or two and the original service lines did not anticipate a campground with a Tabernacle, Dining Hall, dorms and umpteen RV's all needing AC.

The camp speaker is Stan Gleason..who always does a great job!

I met Bro. Howard many years ago. I visited his church in New Castle once when they were having an anniversary or fellowship meeting or something. I remember being in services in one building and then crossing the street into an older building for a meal.

I heard Bro. Ooton teach once. This was at an AMA service at the Jesus' Name Pentecostal church in Dayton, OH. Bro. William Coleman was pastor. His son is now pastor. I've preached for the elder Bro. Coleman a few times. Bro. Ooton was an old man and that had to be in the mid nineteen seventies or so.

From what I understand, Bro. Ooton formed the AMA (Apostolic Ministerial Alliance) in 1941 and they had about 1000 ministers at one time. When I heard him that group was considerably smaller. They only had a few churches listed in their magazine which Bro. Coleman edited and published.

I hope to get to the UACoJC tomorrow (Monday). That may be the only time I get there all week. If you see me, come up and introduce yourself. I look something like my picture here. I will have on a blue short sleeve shirt, oxford cloth, button down collar, no tie, no suit coat or jacket, black jeans, and black gym type shoes with velcro fasteners.
