You are forgetting the reverse effect. Anything that taxes consumers also leaves them with less money to buy corporations goods and services and that means corporations in some sense are actually footing the tax bill by having their profits cut into that way.
So maybe the true statement is that all taxes affect both consumers and corporations. It doesn't matter where in the process the tax occurs IMO. The same results are going to apply.
