No. My post was TIC. I just think it's odd for some of you guys to put down people like snake handlers, while claiming to believe the Bible is the infallible, inspired word of God, and want to interpret it literally. The same scripture that talks about handling snakes is often used to justify requiring tongues for salvation:
Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
It's a list of signs. One of them is speaking with new tongues. If that means a Christian
must speak in tongues, then a Christian
must also take up serpents. You first. Take a swig of Clorox, while you're at it. It won't hurt you.
Oh, not supposed to tempt God? How would this be tempting God? It is proving Him.

2 Cor 13:5. Seeing if His Word is true. What's wrong with that? What a testimony that would be to the world! Call a press conference! Live on TV! (Oh, TV, sorry. Sore spot for some!)
