Re: Originalist... You read this?
O, do you really, seriously expect the GOP will officially nominate a 'non Establishment man'?
Really?
Ron Paul had a bigger and larger backing than either Cruz or Trump and if things were kept on the up and up probably would have carried the nomination (and the election, most likely). But the GOP 'establishment' made sure that didn't happen - twice. And twice we got the establishment man.
It's a big powerful club that runs this country. And you and I ain't in it, and no invitations are forthcoming.
I see Trump at best as another Perot. And even IF Trump or Cruz became President, I don't see anything substantial changing inside the Beltway. ALL the candidates are 'establishment' types. Sure, some of them got lots of nice rhetoric, but in the final analysis 'actions speak louder than words', and NONE of them have displayed any actions other than business as usual.

Re: Originalist... You read this?
BTW, the 'candidates' don't even actually run anything. The middle managers do, the 'senior executive service' and the 'staffers' are the ones who - no matter who is 'charge' - always seem to have a job in DC, doing what they always do.
I mean, does anyone actually believe Obamalamadingdong actually wrote the 'Obamacare' legislation? Or that Romney himself actually came up with his 'Romney-care' (Obamacare's prototype)?
These people often can barely tie their own shoestrings, let alone actually manage a country.

Re: Originalist... You read this?
Hillary has no one challenging her on the Dmeocrat side about her dishonesty, the dubious Clinton Foundation donations, the flip flopping on issues. In the general election she is going to be pummeled by the GOP in nationwide ad campaigns excoriating her for these glaring flaws. She will hardly debate because she's not good at it---she has nearly zero charisma and is not telegenic. She comes across as an angry librarian with a scowl. When she speaks she lectures and it isn't endearing. She's an awful candidate. She will lose.

Re: Originalist... You read this?
Some people think Presidential elections are decided on the basis of candidate's debating ability and personal charisma.
Some people are living in fantasy land. Talk about too much tin foil on the brain. LOL!

Re: Originalist... You read this?
if you all voted 100% for candidate x, the electoral college could still install candidate y anyway.

Even liberal rags like The Hill are writing about her lack of character and charisma.
She will lose.
