JD - looks like you are still in a rush to judgement mode.
I believe there is more to the story than her side.
She looks to be resisting having handcuffs put on her.
The officer who was on top of her looks to be capable of forcing her free arm behind her back to apply the cuffs.
However, he is waiting for backup, which appears to contradict her story of him abusing her.
The officer who arrives on the scene applies standard police protocol to someone who is resisting arrest, which she was.
Also waited for over 2 years to file suit?
I know there are bad cops, but this video does not show that, in my opinion.

Do you WANT that to be standard protocol? You don't think the cops' actions in this video are overboard?

That's what it is.

Some people just don't have any heart.

So they defend the indefensible and thank their God it's not them getting pinned down and sucker punched in front of their children in broad daylight.

i agree, and this is why our corrupted voir dire process makes it scary to go to trial. One cannot get a jury of their peers, as the process insures that the heartless are selected.

The roughing up of someone who is resisting arrest should stop the minute they are detained and have cuffs on them. The only force that should be used is enough force to cuff them. What is the point of punch a women while an officer is on her back? He had control of her arms. He did what was needed to cuff the lady. If you need to punch a lady while an officer is on her back to subdue her, you need to turn in your badge. If you think this kind of officer behavior is ok, to hell with you.

ha i would at least say consider the circumstances--the woman was not caught in a drug bust--she was leaving a child's birthday party? What if that was your mom or sister?

Do we know what the arrest was for?

I do know there are people whose only charge is "resisting arrest" which is ridiculous, but what was the stated reason for the arrest in this case?
