All governments are evil. All kingdoms of this world are evil. The USA is perhaps the only government that has had a semblance of Christianity in its forefront. However, Jesus told us that HIS kingdom was not of this world. Our hope can't be in our government, and what they can or can't do for us. Our hope is in Christ. I look at all government essentially that is of this world as exactly that - of this world. My hope is in Christ, and my hope is not in this world, but in Him.

Regardless of what governments are planning, and what corruption lies within them - we have already been told by Christ to expect that, and not be surprised.

I was reading this morning in John 6 and a verse jumped out at me:

John 6:15 "When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone."

Jesus had no intention to be the KING that the people were looking for. They wanted a king then, and people still want a KING today. However, the kind of KING that Jesus came to be is not of this world. We must remember that in all of these discussions.

Our KING is not of this world!

Please. The training is not for RRF/QRF it is for SOF doing insertion and training in guerrilla warfare is they are practicing inserting into hostile area and remaining undetected while establishing guerrilla base camps and training locals in subversive, revolutionary activities. You know, what SF has TRADITIONALLY ALWAYS FOCUSED ON.

There are other considerations going on of course (like training local and federal LEO to identify and intercept guerrilla activity) and naturally there is the "stay-behind" issue. But this is NOT a "training for martial law" exercise. We've been under martial law since at least the 1870s if not since 1865.

It is also not a massive disaster or critical incident response exercise either.

It doesn't "look like it" to you because you do not know what martial law looks like.

But don't worry, it'll catch up to the Hollywood fantasy version soon enough. BTW, you ever notice all the surveillance cameras at every major intersection, the police in more and more jurisdictions looking more and more like Stasi or Waffen-SS and less like ye old Andy Griffith peace officer, the fact we have a de facto standing army (what the Founders called "the bane of a free society"), etc etc?

EVERY president, upon being sworn in, issues a declaration of national emergency, continuing the previous ones. These go back to 1932. Some apparently go back to 1874.

Lincoln overthrew the Constitution and instituted martial law which has never really been rescinded. The reason government seems " out of control" (EPA, Common Core, Obamacare, fractional reserve lending, the Fed Reserve, income tax, Presidents invading countries illegally, the Joint Chiefs telling Congress they will invade who they want and IF THEY FEEL LIKE IT they'll tell Congress later, indefinite detention, NSA, blah blah blah) is because the US government is operating under "martial law" instead of the original Constitution.

It's also commercial, maritime (admiralty) law ie corporate law. You ought to know this stuff, it's American civics 101.
