in Texas, an AUTOMATIC appeal comes with the death penalty, I'm not sure about Life Without Parole, but the media attention and the Sniper movie being seen by almost all the potential jurors, should be enough for an appeal.

Another reason they didn't seek the death penalty?

Bound to have had some influence on the prosecutor's decision.

I don't believe in the death penalty but I will defend myself and my family. Just seems like there have been people put to death for less than what this character has done.

His lawyers stated they will be filing an appeal. Again I seriously doubt he would win a appeal.

I think it is worth filing, based on the movie and what not.

I doubt the movie had anything to do with the mountain of evidence against the defendent. I'm not even sure the trial judge didn't instruct the jury not to watch the movie until the trial is over?
Regardless please tell me what evidence would be thrown out because of the movie? I am interested to hear this.
Thank you.

It's not about evidence being throw out or not.

It's about having an impartial jury and a fair trial free from outside influences.

The link above GUARANTEES a solid appeal for the Defendant.
