I think you are missing my point.
If it is cruel and inhumane to kill a prisoner, then we should not permit euthanasia, which uses the same drugs.
That would be cruel and inhumane, as well.
However, in general, those who oppose capital punishment, support euthanasia.

I oppose the death penalty, abortion and euthanasia.
I believe that is a consistent belief.
